There are plenty of fun work parties, classes, and events happening at the Nature Preserve this winter.
Come join us!
The 92 acres of Shadow Lake Nature Preserve feature a 5,000-year-old peat bog, seven different habitat types for rare native species, an amphibian pond, and much more.
Come and take a walk through time.
Shadow Lake Bog is an ideal outdoor classroom for kids and adults of all ages. Attend a workshop, plan a field trip, or create your own adventure.
A unique experience awaits!
Join local birding-enthusiast Joe Miles, to learn about owls, their biology, and how to make an owl call! Then, join SHADOW Lake Nature Preserve staff and birding experts for a special night-time tour of the Preserve. Practice your owl calls and see if we can entice an owl to respond!
Suggested donation: $5 to $10 per student.
