Our third annual Halloween at the Haunted Bog has come and gone with our best turnout yet! We had over 75 visitors coloring, creating spider hats, and learning about their local wetland. Spooky Halloween animals such as spiders, bats, and cats got some awareness and maybe some new friends. We had fun getting our hands wet searching for creatures in moss and tossing bean bags, aiming for fall mushrooms. It was great touring the boardwalk trail with you all as the leaves are changing and the rain is filling our beautiful bog.

Pumpkins for the birdfeeders were donated by Newcastle Fruit & Produce

Thank you to everyone who came-we loved seeing all of you in your Halloween best! Our local birds are excited to be fed for the winter so don’t forget to put out your pumpkin bird feeders!

Thank you also to the wonderful team of volunteers who make this event possible.
