Recently, Cathy Maunu and Katie Morris completed SHADOW’s Bog Ambassador Training! The two spent a few hours learning about how to give a bog walk, completed an outline of how their walk would go, practiced with staff, and delivered their first tours to visiting groups. We appreciate their hard work and look forward to having them on the trail helping explain the importance of wetlands to our community!
The Nelson Family: Chandler, Steve, and Brayden recently volunteered over 40 hours of work and removed a truck load of old barbed wire fencing from the bog and uplands area. These Master Hunters are helping preserve deer and elk habitat and the removal of this old fencing will help animals move freely through SHADOW’s 109 acres.
