SUMMARY:Restoration Work Party
DESCRIPTION:Restoration Work Parties  \nWork hard\, have fun\, and practice skills like building trail\, removing invasive species\, planting native plants\, and caring for the Nature Preserve by joining our weekly Volunteer Work Parties!  \nWork Party tasks change weekly and always include a walk through our 5\,000-year-old bog.  \nThese events are held rain or shine so make sure to come dressed for the weather. You may encounter muddy areas and plants with thorns so boots\, long sleeves\, and long pants are recommended.  \nNo experience is necessary to participate. Tools and gloves are provided! Bringing a water bottle and lunch is encouraged!  \n  \nThis week is our annual frog frolic! SUMMARY:23rd Annual Frog Frolic
DESCRIPTION:The Frog Frolic is SHADOW Lake Nature Preserve’s annual community festival and longest running tradition! It is an opportunity for us to express our gratitude to our community for their support while raising critical funds to support and sustain our programs. This community festival will feature an exhibition of art inspired by the wild spaces at the Nature Preserve\, a silent auction\, activities for children and adults\, a performance by a local band and guided tours of SHADOW’s 10\,000–year–old\, peat moss bog. We hope that you can join us!   \n  \nLEARN MORE\, DONATE\, VOLUNTEER! \n  \nEl Frog Frolic es el evento más grande del año para SHADOW Lake Nature Preserve y nuestra tradición más vieja! Es una oportunidad para nostoros a expresar nuestra gratitud a la comunidad para su apoyar\, mientras que recaudar fondos criticos para sustener nuestras programas.
