DESCRIPTION:The Frog Frolic is SHADOW Lake Nature Preserve’s annual community festival and longest running tradition! It is an opportunity for us to express our gratitude to our community for their support while raising critical funds to support and sustain our programs. This community festival will feature an exhibition of art inspired by the wild spaces at the Nature Preserve\, a silent auction\, activities for children and adults\, a performance by a local band and guided tours of SHADOW’s 10\,000–year–old\, peat moss bog. We hope that you can join us!   \n  \nLEARN MORE\, DONATE\, VOLUNTEER! \n  \nEl Frog Frolic es el evento más grande del año para SHADOW Lake Nature Preserve y nuestra tradición más vieja! Es una oportunidad para nostoros a expresar nuestra gratitud a la comunidad para su apoyar\, mientras que recaudar fondos criticos para sustener nuestras programas. SUMMARY:Forest Meditation with Michael Stein-Ross
DESCRIPTION:Join Cascadia Forest Therapy for a two-hour Forest Bathing session in the Uplands area of SHADOW Lake Nature Preserve.  \nForest Bathing (or shinrin-yoku) has been popular in Japan for decades and is gaining momentum in the US. The practice encourages you to walk in the forest at a slower pace and take in the atmosphere around you. Multiple scientific studies have shown that it lowers stress and blood pressure levels\, while increasing immune system functioning\, making you more resilient to diseases and illness. Discover the medicine of being in the forest.   \nThese walks are slow-paced and generally cover less than a mile of trail. During this time the guide\, in partnership with the forest\, will offer an evolving series of invitations crafted to help participants slow down and open their senses.
