SHADOW Lake Nature Preserve boasts a wide diversity of plant communities and ecosystems, including the endangered Shadow Lake Bog. With engaging naturalist guides, 3 miles of trails, covered picnic tables, a field for games, and an indoor Education Center, SHADOW is the perfect place for a field trip.
Students will participate in hands-on, experiential learning designed to fit each grade level and learning style. Trip offerings are based on Washington’s Next Generation State Science Standards and introduce or reinforce key concepts in a fun and supportive atmosphere.

We believes that ALL students should experience this special ecosystem. If the field trips below are cost prohibitive, please request information about our sliding scale discounts which are based on the percentage of students receiving free or reduced price lunch at your school.
