Art in the Open Air

SHADOW will once again host our annual event aimed at showcasing the talents of local artists and inspiring creativity through the wild spaces of SHADOW Lake Nature Preserve. This artist-in-action event invites artists and art enthusiasts alike to tour the grounds and create art in the open air. All are welcome to attend, catch a Bog Tour, and enjoy a beautiful day at SHADOW Lake Nature Preserve.
Selected works from artists will be displayed, for sale, in SHADOW’s Richter Education Center from July 13th – September 17th. Submissions are due no later than July 6th.
The Exhibition will open on July 13th and 50% of proceeds from the sale go directly to the artists, with the remainder acting as a tax-deductible donation to SHADOW Lake Nature Preserve. Artists should be prepared to provide a small biographical display alongside their work.
