Come forest bathe with our partners at Cascadia Forest Therapy on October 19th from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Based on the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku, this practice is similar to meditation, but instead of sitting quietly, you will use all of your senses to explore your environment. Observing the nature preserve by breathing in the fresh air, feeling the dirt beneath you, or having a fern frond brush against you can have lasting effects on your stress level and ability to stay in the moment. Previous participants were surprised at how impactful they found this experience even as a first-timer. You will be guided through a series of “invitations” or elements in nature to focus on which will allow your mind to relax and stay more in the moment. Each session ends with sharing tea with the other participants; a chance to share what you experience in a welcoming environment. Learn more about forest bathing HERE.
Admission is priced at either $35 or $50 to ensure accessibility, while also fairly compensating our partners; pay what feels right for you. Please note that we need at least 7 participants to host this event. We will send an email the week before to confirm.
