Join us at our Bat Biology & Box Building Class! You will start off by learning about bat biology, bat facts and conservation. Then, you will learn how YOU can help bat conservation in your own backyard by constructing your very own bat box to take home! Join SHADOW’s Naturalists on a beginners birding walk. You’ll learn the basics on how to identify common bird species and where to find birding resources. Come learn which native plants are excellent to use in your home landscaping and gardening. We’ll discuss plants that are great for native wildlife & pollinators while teaching simple propagating and planting techniques. You’ll also take a short tour of SHADOW’s native plant garden with a SHADOW Naturalist and take home a packet of native seeds to plant!  *This is an event for all ages, children under 16 should be accompanied by an adult.  There is a $5 suggested program fee per person for this class.
