Wilderness Adventure Field Trips
SHADOW Lake Nature Preserve boasts a wide diversity of plant communities and ecosystems, including the rare and beautiful Shadow Lake Bog. With engaging naturalist guides, 3 miles of trails, covered picnic tables, a field for games, and an indoor Education Center, SHADOW is the perfect place for a field trip.
While at SHADOW, students will participate in hands-on, experiential learning designed to fit each grade level and learning type. Trip offerings are based on Washington’s Next Generation State Science Standards and introduce or reinforce key concepts in a fun and supportive atmosphere.

We believes that ALL students should experience this special ecosystem. While we do have standard prices, if the price below is prohibitive, we also offer payment on a sliding scale based on the percentage of students receiving free or reduced lunch at your school.
