Beneficial Bats! Bat Activity Monitoring- Summer Evening Program

August 17 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

$5.00

Want to find out how you can help bat populations and become a citizen scientist at the same time?  Join us here at SHADOW Lake Nature Preserve to observe some of our marvelous and mysterious native bat species! We are partnering with the Woodland Park Zoo to host their ongoing citizen science program 🦇Bat Activity Trends 🦇.  Jennifer Tallman from Bats Northwest will share about the importance of bats to our ecosystem, then will demonstrate how to monitor bat activity using auditory listening device.  Preliminary reports show several active species flitting around while foraging at sunset!

Please consider a $5 per person donation to attend this event to support SHADOW’s wildlife monitoring and conservation programs.

🦇Please register below!🦇

This class is now full, but if you are interested in being on waitlist or want to be notified of the next Bat activity program, email education@shadowhabitat.org.
